Registrations open for third Energizing Efficiency Conference

2022-04-22

Fredericton, N.B. – As New Brunswickers celebrate Earth Day today, NB Power is pleased to announce the return of the Energizing Efficiency Conference.

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, NB Power will host its third conference focused on energy efficiency. The event will take place June 7 and 8, 2022, at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.

The conference theme is Climate changes everything. For many of Canada’s energy goals, 2030 is a significant milestone - from electric vehicle (EV) and building code adoption to clean energy production. Coming together to discuss climate change strategies and actions from individuals, businesses, governments and utilities will help New Brunswick meet these goals.

“We are excited to once again bring together members of the efficiency industry and business leaders to discuss the best strategies, technologies and practices to energize businesses and our province,” said Keith Cronkhite, NB Power’s President and CEO. “The conference topics look ahead with engaging sessions on how EVs, energy efficiency, carbon reduction and smart energy communities can help build a more sustainable energy future – something that benefits all New Brunswickers.”

With more than 20 panels, break out sessions and keynote speakers, there is something for everyone. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other business leaders and connect with local energy experts.

One of the keynote speakers is Nino Di Cara, the founder of Electric Autonomy Canada. Mr. Di Cara is a passionate believer in electrification and the benefits that technology will have on our transportation future. His presentation will focus on the future of transportation in Canada.

In previous years, the conference has attracted almost 300 participants from more than 100 organizations. The conference agenda and registration details are available online at www.efficiencyconference.com, with early bird pricing closing on April 29, 2022.
