Lori Clark - President, CEO & Chief Nuclear Officer
Lori was appointed President, CEO & Chief Nuclear Officer on March 20, 2023, after serving as acting president and CEO since July 4, 2022. Most recently, Lori served as the Senior Vice President, Operations and led the teams responsible for safe and reliable generation (conventional), transmission and distribution of power across the province. Ms. Clark was also accountable for the employees who serve our customers everyday and those focused on modernizing the New Brunswick power grid.
Lori began her career with NB Power in 1990. Since that time, she has held positions of increasing responsibility including Controller, Managing Director of Finance, Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs and Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Initiatives. Lori has extensive experience with the utility’s rate application process, appearing as a witness for NB Power at several rate hearings.
Lori holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Lori has also studied Nuclear Reactor Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Leadership at the Wharton School of Business.
Darren Murphy - Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President Corporate Services and Major Projects
Darren Murphy is NB Power’s Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President Corporate Services and Major Projects. He is responsible for Finance, Technology, Procurement, Regulatory, Enterprise Risk, Legal as well as other corporate services and also oversees major projects such as the Mactaquac Life Achievement Project.
Darren joined NB Power's executive team in 2007 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2010. In addition to his current role, he has held executive responsibilities for a number of areas including Vice President of Distribution and Customer Service and Vice President of Transmission, Human Resources, Corporate Environment, Corporate Health and Safety and Corporate Information Systems. He worked for over 17 years in Distribution field operations before joining the executive team.
Darren is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the New Brunswick Energy Marketing Corporation (NBEMC). In addition, Darren has also been a past board member for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) from 2010-2019, the New Brunswick Investment Management Corporation (NBIMC) from 2010-2016 as well as the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) from 2008-2010.
Darren has received the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, has completed the Reactor Technology course for Utility Executives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick.
Brad Coady – Vice President, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
Brad Coady was appointed Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships in June 2023. His areas of responsibility include Business Development, Integrated Resource Planning, Environment, Investments & Commercial Evaluation and New Brunswick Energy Marketing.
Brad joined NB Power in 2017 to lead the team responsible for Integrated Resource Planning, rates modernization, corporate strategic planning, and environment services. Prior to joining NB Power, Brad held several positions in the utility sector including Business Development, Strategic Planning, Plant Engineering, System Operations, Energy Efficiency, and Energy Marketing & Trading.
Brad is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Atlantica Centre for Energy (ACFE). He also participates on a number of industry oversight committees and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB).
Before joining the team at NB Power, Brad worked at Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. Brad holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and Master of Business Administration degrees from Memorial University.
Suzanne Desrosiers – Vice President, People and Culture
Suzanne Desrosiers has been NB Power’s Vice President, People and Culture since February 2021. She is a committed life-long learner, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université de Moncton, and a Master’s in Education (Counselling and Human Development) from the University of New Brunswick. In 2019, Suzanne completed a post-graduate diploma in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and most recently has attained her Associated Certified Coach (ACC) designation from the International Coach Federation.
With over 30 years working in senior level Human Resources positions in the utility and education sectors she has also coached leaders in utility, education, health, law enforcement and not-for-profit organizations. For more than a decade she has shared the passion she holds for her profession by teaching at the University of New Brunswick’s Fredericton campus and their College of Extended Learning.
Embracing diversity and inclusion, Suzanne is a proven relationship builder who achieves the best possible people-centered solutions strives by working to understand different points-of-view. Leading with integrity and accountability, she is focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
Her recognized expertise has elevated her to numerous leadership positions within provincial and national organizations. Most notably, she is a former member of the Board of Directors of Electricity Human Resources Canada, and past Chair of their Human Resources Committee. She is currently the Past Board President of the Board of Directors for the New Brunswick Association for Community Living.
Jean Marc Landry – Chief Customer Officer
Jean Marc Landry was appointed Chief Customer Officer in July 2021. During his 20+ year career, Jean Marc has amassed an extensive background in customer service having led customer experience, customer innovation, marketing, research, product development, sales and call centre teams, both regionally and internationally.
In the role of Chief Customer Officer, Jean Marc is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development of a customer-centric culture at NB Power. He leads the customer relations team, energy efficiency services, product and service development and management, sales, marketing and corporate brand functions and serves as a key interface between our customers and the Corporation.
Jean Marc holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance from l’Université de Moncton. He also holds a Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional (CAAP) accreditation from the Institute of Canadian Agencies. Jean Marc sits as a volunteer board member for the Greater Moncton and Southeast NB United Way, contributes to the Strategy and Innovation committee of the Board of Directors of Dialogue NB, volunteers as a mentor with the Université de Moncton’s CARDE program and is an assistant coach on his son’s and his daughter’s minor hockey teams.
Steve Bagshaw - Site Vice President, PLNGS
Steve Bagshaw was appointed Site Vice President at NB Power's Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station in September 2023 He is accountable for leading the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station's strategic direction to achieve safe, predictable and productive nuclear performance.
Steve’s extensive background includes over two decades of hands-on leadership in commercial nuclear power plant operations and project management. Steve also completed his certification of Authorized CNSC Licence Nuclear Operator.
He has a substantial track record in overseeing refurbishment initiatives, having previously served as the Director of Operations and Maintenance for the Darlington refurbishment project at Ontario Power Generation.
Nicole Poirier – Vice President, Operations
Nicole Poirier was appointed Vice President, Operations in June 2023 after serving in an acting capacity since July 2022. She leads the team responsible for safe, reliable generation (conventional), distribution and transmission of power across the province. She will also oversee the teams responsible for System Operations, Project Management Office and Engineering.
During her 34+ year career, Nicole held the roles of Executive Director of Transmission and Distribution, Director of Health and Safety and Environment and Emergency Preparedness, Director of Nuclear Business Services, Director of Supply Chain and Fleet, and Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Nicole is a member of the CEA T-Council, D-Council and NER. She graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1990. Nicole also obtained a Human Resource Management Certification from the University of New Brunswick in 2003. In 2012, Nicole also obtained a Lean Sigma Black Belt Certification.
