NB Power offers a variety of exciting student positions across the province. Our goal is to build the next generation workforce to help us collectively transform to the utility of the future. We are looking for talented students who are eager to play a part in NB Power’s transformation and success. We offer students the opportunity to gain a meaningful and challenging work experience under the guidance of professional leaders in the industry.

Summer Student Opportunities

Our summer student program provides full time opportunities for students typically from May to August.  Student positions are offered in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to:

  • Administrative Support
  • Business Administration
  • Business Analytics
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Information Technology
  • Labourer
  • Supply Chain
  • Storekeeper

How do I apply?

Summer student jobs will be posted on our Job Openings page from November to March each year. To be eligible for our summer student program, you must be returning to post-secondary education in the fall following your work term.

Co-op Positions

We offer a variety of post-secondary co-op positions designed specially to offer students meaningful hands-on work experience related to their field of study, providing the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in the workplace. Experienced team members and industry experts provide leadership and mentorship to support student development.

To be eligible for our co-op student programs, you must be enrolled in a college, university or graduate co-op program. Co-op positions may be 4, 8, 12 or 16 months in duration.

Co-op opportunities are posted directly through the academic institution.  Please contact your co-op coordinator to review current postings.

Internships

We host a variety of experiential short-term internships which provide students with the opportunity to apply valuable skills and knowledge gained during their program of study and gain exposure in their respective field. The student will be assigned to a designated mentor. These may be stand-alone or a course component for which grade or evaluation is assigned.
